Tim Holton

Tim Holton knows that family is important. He’s fought for more than two decades to protect the futures of families who have been wronged by others through medical malpractice, and he works alongside his two sons to continue that fight today. He knows that client service doesn’t stop with a settlement check. Tim genuinely cares about the needs of his clients and their families.

Tim graduated in 1985 from Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis. He began his legal career representing indigent people in criminal cases in both state and Federal Court. In his early career, Tim tried countless criminal jury trials, including death penalty cases. Although it was a tough setting for a new lawyer, this extensive criminal experience allowed Tim to hone his courtroom skills to a razor sharp edge.

As a civil trial lawyer, Tim has achieved numerous multi-million dollar verdicts as lead counsel, including records setting verdicts in Tennessee and Mississippi. He thrives on the pressure of being pitted against insurance companies and large corporations.

Tim is licensed to practice law in four states and is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Specialization and by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Tim is one of only a handful of lawyers in Tennessee who is certified as a Medical Malpractice Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Specialization and by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys.

Currently, Tim focuses his practice in the areas of medical and hospital negligence, product liability and pharmaceutical litigation. He enjoys spending much of his free time with his family.
