Deal, Cooper & Holton have been involved in product liability litigation since 1972. We have handled product cases involving vehicle design and manufacture, cigarette lighters, heavy equipment design, child car seats, electric saws, construction equipment, tire blow outs, punch presses, conveyors, tractors, cold forming rollers, farm equipment, mowers, kerosene heaters, ladders, drugs, seat belts /restraint systems and forklifts.
In July of 1996, our firm successfully argued the matter of Ray v. Bic before the Tennessee Supreme Court, which resulted in significant changes in the way Tennessee interprets the law with regard to the expectations of consumers of a product.
