Berry Cooper
Berry Cooper received his JD in 1988 from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, University of Memphis in Tennessee and is licensed to practice law in Tennessee. Mr. Cooper is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist and is a sustaining member of the Board of Governors of the Tennessee Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He is a member of The American Board of Trial Advocates and is on the Board of Governors of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association. He is certified as both a Civil Trial Specialist and Medical Malpractice Specialist. Carla E. Ryan
Carla E. Ryan received her JD in 1981 from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in Tennessee. She is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and admitted to practice before the United States District for the Western District of Tennessee. Ms. Ryan is a Tennessee Supreme Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission Rule 31 Listed Mediator and a Hearing committee Member of the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Ms. Ryan is a Member of the Memphis Bar Association and has served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Social Security Section of the Memphis Bar Association. She is a past Member of the Board of Directors of the University of Memphis Law School Alumni Association. Ms. Ryan concentrates her practice in the areas of Workers’ compensation and social security disability.
Jodi Black
Jodi Black graduated Cum Laude from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in Memphis in 2004, and is licensed to practice law in Tennessee. During law school, Ms. Black was a member of the University of Memphis Law Review and was selected as a member of Who’s Who Among American Law Students. Ms. Black is also a registered nurse, graduating with her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Manitoba School of Nursing in 1992. As a nurse, Ms. Black specialized in cardiovascular intensive care and labor and delivery. She utilizes her medical background in her law practice, which is focused in the areas of medical and hospital negligence/malpractice, product liability/pharmaceutical litigation and motor vehicle/18 wheeler collisions involving catastrophic injury and/or death.
John R. Holton
John R. Holton graduated Cum Laude from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, University of Memphis, in 2008. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and in Arkansas. While in law school, Mr. Holton worked at the Shelby County Public Defenders Office and participated in the Child and Family Litigation Clinic. He was the Associate Justice of the Moot Court Board for Mock Trial and competed on the National Mock Trial traveling team.
